The Wallabies have beaten England 18-9 in the rugby Test at Twickenham.

SOCCER AL (GOLD COAST)

Central Coast Mariners thrashed A-League champions Melbourne Victory 4-0 last night and Gold Coast United ended a dreadful fortnight with a 1-0 win over leaders Sydney FC.

Perth can join the Mariners today with a win at Wellington and the round wraps up with Newcastle hosting North Queensland in a battle of the bottom two.

CUP VIC (MELBOURNE)

Victoria are second on the one-day cricket table after a great comeback win over Tasmania at the MCG last night.

CRICKET AUST (GUWAHATI, India)

Australia's cricketers admit they remain mentally drained after an epic win in Hyderabad but are motivated by the chance to wrap-up a limited-overs series win over India at Guwahati on Sunday.

Their game five innings of 4-350 was just enough to survive a massive effort of 175 from Sachin Tendulkar.

MOTOR V8 (PHILLIP ISLAND, Vic)

Ford driver Jamie Whincup will be out to stretch his V8 Supercar Championship lead in today's second race of the Phillip Island 300.
