NFL—Dolphins Cornerback Allen Out for Season

MIAMI—Miami Dolphins cornerback Will Allen has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a cruciate knee ligament injury in Sunday's defeat to the New Orleans Saints.

Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano told reporters on Monday that Allen was "done" for the year.

Allen's injury will mean increased playing time for the Dolphins' two rookie cornerbacks—Vontae Davis and Sean Smith.
