Afghanistan Election Head Refuses to Stand Down

KABUL—Afghanistan's top election official said on Monday he will not stand down ahead of the presidential run-off after incumbent Hamid Karzai's rival demanded he be sacked for being biased towards the president.

"No, why should I resign?" Azizullah Ludin told Reuters in response to a demand made earlier by former foreign minister Abdulla
