SYDNEY—Prince Frederik is still yet to make World Masters Games sailing debut after his boat capsized, resulting in a royal dip in Sydney Harbour.

For the second day in a row, bad weather caused the start of the over-35 taser race to be aborted and forced the Danish Crown Prince to call it a day.

Australian Olympic sailing gold medallist Tom King was lucky enough to meet with the prince.

"(Sailing with the prince) is good fun, he is a really nice guy," King said.

"I have had the chance to race with him before, it is good competing against him again."

King said Prince Frederik was used to sailing in bigger boats, so racing the smaller tasers was a challenge for him.

"(He has had to) adapt his sailing skills to these things, which are quite flighty," he said. "But he seems to be doing a good job."

King said the conditions out on the harbour on Wednesday were extremely challenging.

"The winds were very strong," he said. "A lot of boats were upside down and we had to fight really hard just to stay upright."

If the weather clears on Thursday, the taser events will kick off at around 10am and race officials are hoping to fit three races in to make up for the two days of bad weather.

Prince Frederik's last race is scheduled for Friday.
