TORONTO—Mr. Zhang, who immigrated to Canada from a city in Northern China just over a year ago, brought six family members to see the Saturday afternoon presentation of Shen Yun Performing Arts at Toronto’s Canon Theatre.

“Wonderful, truly wonderful. I often watched shows when I was in China. However, none of them is as good as Shen Yun,” he said.

Mr. Zhang said the show overall, which portrays the excellence and values that were inherent in traditional Chinese culture, was an audience pleaser.

“The Shen Yun show brings people visual enjoyment, no matter whether it’s the dances or drumming acts. In one word, it’s very artistic.”

He said the unique animated Shen Yun backdrop that provides a living set in which each dance unfolds, was “very good” with “magnificent” scenes.

New York-based Shen Yun is scheduled to return to Canada in January with its all-new 2010 program. For more information visit www.ShenYunPerformingArts.org .
