Fat is the last thing you would want to add into your diet when you want to lose weight. Yet if you try coconut oil, you can naturally achieve a quick and easy weight loss.

Coconut oil is obtained from the fresh fruit of the coconut palm tree that grows in tropical climates. It looks like a clear liquid which becomes pure white when solid and has a mild coconut taste. This is called virgin coconut oil and it is minimally processed without chemical solvents.

Metabolism Booster

How can virgin coconut oil help you lose weight? Being of plant origin, it is easily digested. Unlike other fats, it is immediately converted into energy by the liver. It stimulates the metabolism, increasing the rate at which calories are burned. When you add coconut oil to your food, your hunger is satisfied sooner. Your hunger is also delayed longer between meals—this effectively leads you to consume fewer calories as you eat less food.

When you want to lose weight you should consume two to three tablespoons of virgin coconut oil daily, preferably with food as it improves the absorption of other nutrients. Adding it into your diet is easy—you can consume the oil in any way you like. You can eat it straight from the spoon, enjoy it in your tea or coffee, mix it with vegetable or fruit juices, spread it on bread or rice cakes, and use it for all your cooking. You can lose weight simply adding coconut oil to your daily diet. For outstanding results, however, you need to consume lots of fresh fruit and vegetables while limiting or avoiding refined carbohydrates (white bread and rice) and convenience foods.

Want to gain weight?
When you want to gain weight you can follow the same procedure as for losing weight: add virgin coconut oil to your daily diet in a way and an amount that satisfies you best.

Coconut oil is a food. It is safe with no adverse side effects (it can be given to infants). You can't overdose on it but if you consume too much coconut oil for your body type you may experience loose bowels. In that case, simply adjust your intake to your personal tolerance.

I have benefited from eating virgin coconut oil when I had candidiasis. Within a week of taking three tablespoons a day, my permanently bloated stomach started to deflate. Within approximately a month I had a new, slimmer figure, had more energy and felt much better. It takes time to clear candida but, weight wise, I experienced fairly quick results.

Choosing coconut oil for weight management is a safe, quick, easy and effective strategy. There is no need to count calories and you can tailor it to suit your taste and lifestyle.
