Omo are a duo of Berit Immig (also part of pan-European rockers The Chap) and David Muth. Together they make music that they describe as “domestic pop for domestic occasions”. That may be true if you want your domestic occasions filled with irritating and soulless electro pop ditties. But then the word pop doesn’t accurately describe this collection that seems to lack any melody or emotional connection with the listener. Only rarely do interesting musical textures manage to enliven the dirge-like spoken word monologues about such topics as why birds couldn’t fly if their eggs were too heavy.
