I found your August 20 article, titled “Night of the Trilobites” a refreshing departure from the Darwinist lockstep ideological view of man’s origins. Darwinism remains an entrenched ideology demanding a great measure of faith, as it is observed to be persistently flawed in deciphering the fossil evidence.
The record from paleontology fails to establish countless so-called missing links, but faithfully confirms the sudden appearance of extensive Cambrian fossils appearing 550 million years ago, universally recognized as the Cambrian Explosion, which turns Darwin’s tree of life upside down; a reality conveniently concealed by evolutionists.
The Cambrian fossils materialize suddenly in the fossil record as fully formed animal groups. In several places around the world the Cambrian strata remain intact with more than a mile of unbroken strata beneath the Cambrian discoveries. Yet, below this Cambrian level there are no antecedent fossils present, or anywhere else, to account for this abrupt appearance as one would anticipate from Evolutionary Theory. Why? Envision the magnitude of intermediary life structures necessary for each of the millions of distinct worldwide biota present and past to evolve from a low level life form. If Darwinism is valid then the fossil record must be found teeming with such evidence. The reality is that fossil evidence fails to produce such a substantial and continuous record.
Other scientific theories such as Quantum theory and theory of relativity, supported by advanced mathematics and physics theory, are meticulously confirmed with particle accelerators, atomic clocks on aircraft and so on. Such theories, et. al., are rock solid and can be scientifically established to be accurate. Where is the equivalent substantiation for evolution? Unfortunately, further time must elapse before Darwinists will cease to mischaracterize this debate as only being among theologians and scientists, and enter into a rational and scientific 21st century discourse by considering paleontology and other supporting evidence devoid of condescending references to Genesis.
Francis Crick, Nobel Prize winner and co-discover of the DNA structure, comprehended this over 30 years ago and as recently as the 1990s reaffirmed his discontent with evolutionary theory.
