Charlie & Boots Biggest Aussie Film Opening Weekend of 2009

SYDNEY—Paul Hogan is still a drawcard for audiences, with his latest film Charlie & Boots recording the biggest opening weekend of any Aussie film this year.

The road comedy, which stars Hogan and Shane Jacobson (Kenny) collected $804,002 from 173 cinemas around the country last weekend.

Directed by Dean Murphy, Charlie & Boots is a comedy about a grieving father and son who put their differences aside and head off on the road trip of a lifetime.
