SYDNEY—An Australian producer and composer are among winners at this year's Daytime Emmy Awards in the United States.
Former Sydney producer, Joey Egger, was part of the winning team that picked up an Emmy in the New Approaches category for their work on the website of long-running children's TV show Sesame Street.
The award honours innovation in the television industry.
Egger, 34, who has lived in New York for the past two years and works as a senior producer on the website, said she was delighted to walk on stage with fellow team members to accept the award at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday.
"We were just thrilled to be part of it," Egger told AAP from New York on Wednesday.
"The whole team have worked for many, many years ... it is a labour of love."
The award was presented to them by another Australian, Bindi Irwin.
"It was quite bizarre," she said.
Egger said an Australian company Firefly Interactive had also been helped with the website design.
Sesame Street won four Emmys and also a lifetime achievement award at the event.
Meanwhile, Brisbane-based composer Christopher Elves won an Emmy for Music Direction and Composition for his score on the computer animated series Animalia.
"When they announced that Animalia had won, I was completely shocked, stunned and amazed," Evans was reported by the film and TV newsletter ScreenHub as saying.
"It's a great honour and a huge testament to a fantastic show.
"It was a privilege to have had the opportunity to write the score for such a great series. I think it'll be a long time before this really sinks in."
