All friends around the world who actively help and support the mainland Chinese people to fight for their freedom, democracy and human rights:
Greetings,
On behalf of the 1.3 billion Chinese people in mainland China, we would like to express our deep and sincere gratitude to all of you for your help and support. We have been suppressed by the evil Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for a long time!
We are a group of young Chinese who were originally brainwashed by the CCP to be "hostile to the United States and all Western democratic countries." During the 1989 Democracy Movement, we were fortunate to gain an understanding of the values of the U.S. and other Western countries—such as freedom of the press, freedom of belief—through the real news broadcast by the Voice of America and Radio Free Asia. With this new understanding, we gradually changed our malicious view towards the U.S. people and government, inculcated by the One Voice propaganda in China. Especially in recent years, through NTDTV programs, we have had a chance to actually see the cultural diversity and the value of freedom, democracy, human rights, equality, fraternity, and justice exemplified in the West, and we no longer feel hostile to the U.S. We now are looking forward to enjoying a free society ourselves. In the past few years, we have been spreading the uncensored information from VOA, RFA, NTDTV, Sound of Hope Radio—as well as the universal values of freedom, democracy and human rights—to people around us. We actively encourage friends to send their children to study in the U.S., so that they may have this precious opportunity to see the world without the constant influence of the CCP. So far, 26 of my friends have either immigrated to the U.S. or have sent their children to study there.
With more and more people receiving real information from NTDTV, VOA, RFA and the Internet, enormous numbers of the Chinese population are finally waking up. We can sense it in the more than 40 million people who have withdrawn from the evil CCP and its affiliated organizations. However, right on the eve of the peaceful transition to a Democratic China, we are surprised to learn that NTDTV will lose its transmission signal to China, while VOA and RFA will be rerouted to the CCP-controlled Asiasat 3S satellite. Now that they will have control over these broadcasts, we are certain that the CCP will interfere or jam these programs. At present, we can use an 18-30 inch antenna to receive VOA, RFA and NTDTV programs broadcast by W5 satellite's KU-band. The small antenna makes it easy to install and conceal. The Asiasat 3S satellite however uses a C-band, which requires a much larger 48-inch antenna that can be easily detected.
We are hungry for real news, just as the blind are eager to see! Please extend your kindness to help the 1.3 billion people who are eager to know the truth.
Please help ensure that the VOA, RFA, NTDTV, and other uncensored media continue broadcasting on the W5.
By ensuring transmission of this programming, you help usher in the forthcoming transition to a "Democratic China”—sure to be a priceless asset to your country, the world and mankind!
Once again, we are deeply grateful for your help.
May God bless you and your family!
