Dear Deb:
I was asked to complete a project over a weekend. I come from a fairly religious family and we have strict restrictions regarding working on days of rest. The project could lead to a promotion. If my family found out that I worked on a weekend, they would be very upset. What is your advice?

Dear BSK;
Do not compromise your religious values. If possible, complete the project before the weekend starts or get if completed by rising early (like 3am) on Sunday morning to get the job done. You will have then completed the project (hopefully get the promotion) without having to do anything that goes against your beliefs.
