Actor and director Robert Redford has reportedly married his long-time girlfriend, Sibylle Szaggars in a private ceremony in Hamburg, Germany—the bride’s hometown. A local newspaper reported that there were approximately 30 guests at the ceremony inside the Louis C. Jacob Hotel on Wednesday.
DeNiro Duped
Actor Robert DeNiro has apparently become the victim of an art scam by a New York gallery. New charges have been brought against art dealer Lawrence Salander—who was already arrested for a large-scale art investment scam. The recent indictment involved the sale of paintings by Deniro’s late father, Robert DeNiro, Sr., without permission. The scam is said to have cost the estate more than $1 million.
Whitney Houston Unveils New Album

Whitney Houston is gearing up for a big comeback with her first album in seven years, “I Look To You.” The singer, alongside industry guru Clive Davis, premiered the album in London on Wednesday. Houston reportedly told the audience of invited guests, “When Clive called me I was pretty ready to buy my island home [and retire] but he said, ‘No, you’re going to sing again …” The album will be released in the U.S. on September 1.
Matt Damon Co-Founder of New NonProfit
Actor Matt Damon has been focused on water for quite some time, as the co-founder of the organization, H2O Africa. He is expanding his work in the new formation of Water.org, along with the co-founder of WaterPartners, Gary White. The new organization aims to “bring access to safe water and sanitation to the developing world,” according to its Web site. According to the WHO ( World Health Organization), “Lack of safe water, sanitation and hygiene remains one of the world’s most urgent health issues.”
