Sonia, a petroleum engineer from Venezuala really enjoyed the show saying it was "excellent."
"I think all the colors are beautiful, the artists, the scenery. It’s very beautiful.”
She particularly liked the costumes because of the happy contrast they created. “Definitely, 100 percent,” she said.
And what would she tell friends who were thinking of attending the show? “I would tell them that it is something very special, that it’s very beautiful.
“You see the whole history of China. ... All the costumes and customs ... are beautiful. It is worth coming!”
Yanete, a businesswoman who was with Sonia, also said it was very beautiful. “I loved the delicacy of the dances. I think this is important, because it is promoting the Chinese culture at an international level. ... I’m thoroughly enjoying this.
“Through the dances, they tried to familiarise us a little with each place or region of China. That’s to say, of the customs and particular facets of different peoples through the dances.”
Maria, who has a a PhD in Business Administration, was also at the Auditorio Belgrano to see Shen Yun. “I experienced that everything had an expression, and all those expressions were related with their culture, with certain sentiments, with hope, and with faith.
"I think it’s beautiful to see these here, the people that are here. The great majority of Argentinians, through their applause, I think I understand to what level they like it, they love it.
“And their values, the delicacy, perseverance, for example, that act with the heavens, it’s very profound.
“The act where they find hope from the heavens [Heaven Awaits Us Despite Persecution], we think this is something very profound. Everyone will have their own interpretation of this message; we don’t all interpret it in the same way, and you must have a sensibility to interpret it."
To Maria, the message of the performance was “beautiful and profound."
"It’s to know that one must always have faith. That through faith we achieve life, we achieve a path. Without faith there is nothing, and in this faith is joy, the joy of life, and happiness.
“The teaching here is something beautiful … apart from filling your soul, the dancers are giving something beautiful to people. The moments of joy and happiness are many, and for everyone who comes here, they will comment about it to their friends, or at least leave with a content heart, full and satisfied.”
Santiengo, Chile, will host three shows from July 10 to 12. The show will then return to Argentina on July 16, this time in Cordoba, performing three shows until July 18.
