BUENOS AIRES, Argentina—Fine artist Mr. Bustos seized the opportunity to see Shen Yun Performing Arts in the Argentine capital at the ninth and next-to-last performance at Auditorio Belgrano on July 5.

Mr. Bustos is a visual artist, a painter and sculptor. He has been creating art for decades and has been the subject of at least one book on contemporary painters in Argentina. He liked what he saw at Shen Yun.

“What was it I saw? Something very important. Apart from the beauty they bring, which I think is fantastic, there is also a very important message. This is a message of the spirit, of the soul, of a journey,” he said, choosing every word carefully.

“What caught my attention is something very important—that nowadays the fact persists, as in history, that people have been persecuted. There have been times when the artist and art have been persecuted. I am very well aware of what's happening in China with the persecution of Falun Gong. And I think that if these people [the Shen Yun artists] were in China,
we would be unable to see the marvel that we have seen tonight.”

To people who haven’t seen Shen Yun yet, Mr. Bustos would say to them: “It is fantastic! You have to come and see it. It’s a company that works very well together. The color is incredible. It is moving, and you must not miss out. It’s really very good.”

Shen Yun will be performing its final shows in Buenos Aires today. Santiago, Chile, will host three shows from July 10 to 12. The show will then return to Argentina on July 16, this time in Cordoba, performing three shows through July 18.
