BUENOS AIRES, Argentina—Shen Yun’s next-to-last show in the arts capital of South America was packed to capacity on Sunday evening, July 5. It attracted artists, designers, musicians, and people from all walks of life.

Among them was young pianist Mr. Meilih. “The truth is that I liked it a lot. I loved the choreography, the dancer’s contact with the public, the hosts speaking with the audience, the music too, all the individual stories. I liked the images on the back[drop]. … The truth is that it was excellent. Everything was excellent!” he said.

Mr. Meilih has been playing piano since he was young and has a Youtube channel with his piano pieces and several thousand registered views.

The vibrant and energetic Dance of the Snow-Capped Mountain was his favorite piece. “They transmit peace. You can completely see the message they give. You can see it in all their actions—peace.”

His mother said she felt “harmony, peace, and hope.” “The one about spring [Welcoming Spring] moved me, and the one with the [flowing] sleeves—it was exquisite, excellent, a special sensibility.”

“I would recommend this show. Next year we are thinking about coming to see it again. We’re already thinking that we’ll sit further up front. It will be worth the more expensive tickets,” she said.

For the people who didn’t see the show, Mr. Meilih's mother said: “Don’t miss it. It’s a spectacular that one must not let pass by. It’s not an everyday thing because of its level. It’s not course; it elevates us from this flatness we live in, right?

“I would recommend the show to everyone, young and old. I’ll bring the kids from the school,” she said.

Shen Yun will be performing its final shows in Buenos Aires today. Santiago, Chile, will host three shows from July 10 to 12. The show will then return to Argentina on July 16, this time in Cordoba, performing three shows until July 18.
