LIMA—Peruvian Prime Minister Yehude Simon said on Friday he would step down next week following deadly clashes in the Amazon last month in which at least 34 people died."Before I leave next week, I hope to present a report to the press," Simon told reporters. It was the first time he had put a definite date on his resignation.
