BUENOS AIRES, Argentina—Hotel owner and businessman, Mr. Ris, with his wife and friends, attended Thursday evening's performance of Shen Yun Performing Arts at the Auditorio Belgrano in Buenos Aires.
Mr. Ris said, “The display developed throughout the show is really impressive, it is really good.”
New York-based Shen Yun Performing Arts came into being with a vision of cultural renewal and the company seeks to breathe new life into traditional Chinese culture while providing audiences everywhere with an experience of sublime beauty.
Mr. Ris particularly enjoyed the beginning piece, saying it was "impressive." But enjoyed all the performances, including "the choreography, the presentation of the show, how the actors came down as the divine beings...”
Mrs. Ris said, “I think it's wonderful that there is a dance and ballet group who care about and show the world the history, origins and all the stages China had to endure, and keep it alive so that people coming here today, knowing very little about China, can learn much more.
"From an artistic point of view, I love the dances, the colorfulness they display, the vitality with which they express anything they like to tell us. Those smiling faces that turn serious during some scenes, helping us to understand all they want to express.
"I love art, I love dance. One can see that eastern cultures are linked to one another, and the body movements have much to do with this quest to join the divine, the heavenly, the creator that we all seek and still are looking for.”
Friends Leonardo, an accountant, and Zulema, an art teacher, also enjoyed the show.
“It was something different, beautiful and interesting,” said Zulema.
“I'm amazed by the colorfulness, the mobility they have and it is really a culture that we don’t know and are not used to, and I am getting into it. I like the goodness they emanate, with the tranquility of the gestures, and the happiness of the ladies,” said Leonardo.
