BUENOS AIRES, Argentina—Highly-acclaimed Shen Yun Performing Arts has intrigued yet again more audience members who were at the fifth show held last evening, July 2.

Shen Yun opened at the famous Auditorio Belgrano theater in Buenos Aires on June 28 and has enthralled the packed theater goers ever since.

In the audience was a manager of an oil company, Mr. Aranguren, who together with his wife was inspired by the presentation based upon China's five-millennia traditions portrayed in classical dance, song and music.

Mr. Aranguren said he enjoyed the performance very much and was particularly impressed with the way the New York-based Shen Yun combined modern day stories of courage harmoniously with beloved Chinese legends of heroism and folklore traditions throughout.

Heaven Awaits Us Despite Persecution, portrays a father who was killed by order of communist rule after suffering brutal torture for his belief in Falun Gong, an ancient spiritual practice.

His daughter's little frame racks in pain as this dance exposes the inhumane treatment of China's own children evoking tears of compassion from a watchful audience.

“I like it very much, particularly the piece where the small lady performed ... the father and daughter,” Mr. Aranguren said.

Despite a language barrier, he didn't have any difficulty following story-lines.

“Although it’s quite difficult for our culture to understand exactly [Chinese] culture, but in some way we are intrigued by the traditions of the Chinese people.”

He said he decided to see the show because of his wife who is learning Chinese language at university and also practices tai chi chuan.

“So I’m just joining her, and by joining her I also want to see a different kind of show.”

Beautifully costumed dancers moving in synchronized patterns, vocalists and soloists framed under a backdrop of majestic palaces, blossoming trees, pastoral greens, perfectly matched with an accompanying orchestra playing a combination of Western and Chinese compositions with the dance or song at hand.

“The colors of the costumes, and the synchronization of the dancers, in some way it seems they have been practicing a lot,” Mr Aranguren said.

“I think I was given the opportunity to learn. At least I recognize some of the characters and the way Chinese people enjoy nature.”
