CHICAGO—Michael Jordan added his public endorsement to the Chicago campaign for the 2016 Olympic bid. Starting this week, the Chicago Bulls’ legend appears in locally televised public service announcements.

Bid organizer Patrick Ryan says the ads shows both support from the local athletic community and also demonstrates how the Olympic experience changed their lives.

Jordan played for the U.S. team in 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, Spain which brought home a gold medal.
