Quitting the Chinese Communist Party

My name is Pang Junmin. I was born on October 12, 1971. I used to work for a state factory in Henan Province. I was a victim of the Chinese Community Party (CCP)’s “family planning” policy and hereby I declared my withdrawal from the CCP’s Youth League in public.

I got married on July 11, 1994. My first son, Yang Kuo, was born on March 16 in 1996. He was disabled from birth due to the negligence of the hospital. My husband and I struggled to keep him fed and taken care of. When my son died, I was also suffering from a serious illness.

According to the CCP’s policy of “family planning,” I qualified to have a second baby, but the local “family planning” authorities rejected my application. The personnel from the local office of forced me to wear a steel ring IUD. My son, at the time, was becoming weaker and weaker and so I began to fear he may die prematurely at a young age. I did not want to leave behind with no descendants. In April 2003, I secretly took the ring away and soon after became pregnant. I went into hiding in a village for about eight months. In December 2003 my second child was born. When I was still in the hospital, the local “family planning” officials found out and requested that the hospital give me a tubal ligation against my will. I was upset and angry. My mother-in-law became seriously ill after learning about what happened. That was not all. The city officials also forced the factory I worked for to fire me and cut husband’s salary in half. I had to work a variety of odd jobs.

Not having any adequate health care, my first son died on August 17 in 2006. He was only 10 years old . The poor boy was never able to call me mom before he passed away. His death was a great shock to me. At the same time I realized how vicious the CCP is. They carry out the “Family Planning” policy in China, which has caused countless similar tragedies. In such a country, people lose their dignity, freedom, and right to give birth.  In China we have an old saying: Do not enter a state that is in turmoil. A disorderly state is not to be domiciled. In September 2008 I fled China with the help of some others.

A big difference between China and the U.S. is China’s single-party communist rule. The CCP’s power is not derived from the people and thus is not subject to supervision by the people, therefore it is running wild across the country, killing people without restraint. My story is not an isolated tragedy in China. Only through overthrowing the rule of the CCP will similar tragedies not be repeated. I did a lot of research and found that tragedies resulting from “Family Planning” have been  commonplace under the rule of the CCP. If the CCP continues to exist, similar stories will continue to happen. In response to the call from Falun Gong practitioners, I decided to withdraw from CCP’s Youth League in public and post my statement on the website. The CCP will not live much longer. Let us quit it sooner and help bring about its downfall.
