DALLAS—Jason Terry had successful hand surgery to stabilize the fourth metacarpal fracture in his left hand. Dr. Scott Oishi and Dr. T.O. Souryal at Texas Sports Medicine performed the surgery. No timetable on Terry’s return to action for the Dallas Mavericks was given.

The 6–2 Terry is the leading NBA scorer coming off the bench. “I am not sure when I’ll be able to come back,” said a sad, but upbeat Terry.

“I will still be there for my teammates cheering from the bench. I intend to work hard, and stay in shape during my recovery period. With the help of the Lord, I expect to be back quickly.”
