Atlantans Watch Inauguration

Mr. Roger Gist of Atlanta watched the inauguration at a public library in Atlanta. He said “I feel that by Barack Obama becoming president today that he is giving hope to the people, especially the little boys and girls. 

Mr. Raymond Simpson,  originally from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, said he was “glad to witness such a historical event.”  Mr. Simpson confided that when the woman next to him wept during the swearing in of the new president, he felt emotional and came close to having wet eyes. 

People watched the inauguration at government offices and workplaces all over the city.  Fulton County streamed the event at its Assembly Hall in downtown Atlanta.
