SunTrust Banks has experienced heavy system malfunctions that have prevented users from carrying out transactions, according to reports on Tuesday. Some of its online features were down.

The bank, based in Atlanta, told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution it is “working hard” to resolve the technical issues.

“We’re experiencing technical issues & are working on a solution. We’re sorry for the inconvenience,” the company said via Twitter.

At around 2 p.m. EST, Suntrust said that “online Banking is now available - we appreciate your patience,” according to Twitter.

Twitter users complained about the technical issues.

Another wrote: “Im mad I told SUNTRUST to put a hold on my card to I could find it and the turned it off.”

Some users said that it was hard to pay bills on the first of the month.
