Fourteen provinces in China have been hit with heavy flooding over the past several days. More than 10 million people have been affected.
The state mouthpiece Xinhua said that more than 175 people have been killed in the floods, mainly in southern China. Around 85 people still remain missing as of Monday.The hard rainfall and subsequent flooding began early this month, causing more than $5 billion in economic loss.
