Pictures of people posing “Dufnering” are increasingly being shared after Jason Dufner won the PGA Championship on Sunday.
After Dufner was snapped slouched against a wall during a charity event with students, and afterward fellow golfers then fans started taking pictures in similar poses. “Dufnering” was born.
The pictures took on a much more celebratory flavor after Dufner won the PGA Championship on August 11.
“Got some notoriety for maybe something that was probably trying to hurt me a little bit and ran with it and it helped me a lot,” said Dufner on Sunday. “I got a lot of fans because of it and people identified me through it and that was good.”
The original photo is on top, with a more recent pose next followed by fans and fellow golfers saluting Dufner with their “Dufnering” poses.
