A tornado damaged at least two buildings in Fredrickson in Pierce County, Washington on Monday.

The reported funnel cloud was upgraded to a tornado, Steve Reedy of the National Weather Service told the Seattle Times.

The tornado damaged the Northwest Door manufacturing plant on Canyon Road at 190th St E, said the Central Pierce Fire & Rescue. The building is a Boeing manufacturing site.

FPS EnCon, which manufactures semi-circular concrete liners for a highway project, was also hit.

The tornado also damaged rail cars, and damaged the roofs of other buildings in the Fredrickson, Pierce County, area.

Assistant Chief Ed Hrivnak told Fox that the funnel cloud was spotted around 7:45 a.m. near the intersection of 190th and Canyon Road.

“There is quite a bit of debris on Canyon Road,” he said. Cars were lifted off the ground because of the high winds.

Trailers were overturned in the area, as well.

Storms in Washington have also knocked out power for about 4,000 households, and snow has begun falling in the mountains.
