Tex-Mex fast-food chain Taco Bell is testing breakfast offerings in several markets, and if proven a success, will expand to its locations nationwide. Taco Bell, which is run by Yum! Brands, is entering a competitive market of fast-food restaurant chains offering breakfast meals.
Taco Bell joins the Subway sandwich chain and Wendy’s as recent entrants into the breakfast arena. The promotion will initially be available in around 800 restaurant locations in the Western United States, including California and Arizona.
“While we’re beginning in the West, where people grew up with breakfast burritos, we plan to reach a national audience in the future, becoming a part of their morning routine,” said Taco Bell’s marketing chief in a statement Thursday.
Taco Bell’s breakfast offerings will also include products by Tropicana (a unit of PepsiCo), Cinnabon, and Seattle’s Best coffee, which is owned by Starbucks Corp.URL to article: http://www.theepochtimes.com/n2/business/taco-bell-to-begin-serving-breakfast-182487.html
