A body was found in the Bow River near the Calgary Zoo on July 31, police told the Calgary Herald.
The body appears to have been in the water for some time, reports 660 News.
Zoo workers spotted the dead adult male at about 6:30 a.m. and alerted police, who have summoned medical personnel.
Acting Inspector Craig Coughlan said it’s too early to tell who the person is or what caused the death.
