TAIPEI, Taiwan—On the afternoon of April 2, the Shen Yun Performing Arts International Company presented its third show of 2011 at National Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall. Mr. Su Shi-Yan, Member of the Board of Supervisors of the China Plum-Flower Association and an executive member of The World Kwong Tong Community Association, excitedly gave a thumbs up to Shen Yun and praised it repeatedly.
After the performance, Su Shi-Yan seemed still wrapped in the ambiance of Shen Yun. With his eyes moist, he said, “The dance No Regrets really moved me. The performers acted it so vividly.” He said that the affection between the mother and the son portrayed by the performers especially touched him.
The scene in the last program, The Opening of Heaven’s Gates, thrilled him very much, he said. “The performers and the backdrops were harmonized seamlessly in the scene, in which gods flew to and from heaven freely. Besides, the performers danced attentively. Contrast to other performance’s gaudy and brightly-colored costumes, the colors of Shen Yun’s costumes were much lighter and natural. They were really fabulous,” he said.
As for the music, costumes, and dances, Mr. Su said, “All of them were marvelous.” As a painting artist, he appreciated the dynamic backdrops very much, and said “The scenery of the Huang Mountain in the background was very beautiful. It was my first time to see it.” He smiled and said, “I liked it very much. It’s very good to choose that scenery. Every program was perfectly harmonized with the scenery in the background.”
Responding to the repeated recommendations of his niece, who lives in Kaohsiung, Mr. Su came to see the Shen Yun show. At the end, he exclaimed, “Gorgeous! The entire settings and costumes were indeed very natural and beautiful!”
