NEW YORK—Visual arts designer Mariano Mares and his friend and family were taken with Saturday evening’s Shen Yun Performing Arts performance at Lincoln Center on Saturday.
"Very nice, very nice," said Mr. Mares when asked what he thinks of Shen Yun.
Mr. Mares said he was most impressed with the technique, style, and dress of the performers. "I love the dress," he said.
Business Executives Give Shen Yun High Praise
Business manager Paul Rausnitz was impressed by Saturday evening’s performance at Lincoln Center’s David H. Koch Theater.
Rausnitz, who works for a global manufacturer of precision optics called Meopta, said he was particularly taken with the dancing in the show.
"Generally speaking, compared to other dancing it’s something special, exceptional, different," said Rausnitz. "It’s outstanding."
Steffan Goda, who was also at the show, said he was facinated with the drummers.
"The drummers, the raising of the drums (impressed me the most)," said Goda, who works in corporate management for RUAG, an international technology group.
"It’s something you can’t see in foreign shows normally … so it’s something special," Goda added.Reporting by Mike Chen
