DALLAS―Shen Yun Performing Arts New York Company opened to its third performance in Dallas's Winspear Opera House on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010.
Jorge Manon, a wholesale business owner, is someone who enjoys entertainment that offers an intellectual experience and he described the Shen Yun matinee performance as fantastic.
"What I liked also was that they explain it to you beforehand, so you know what to expect and pay attention to certain details. But so far, I think that I have enjoyed the dances, the colors, the movement, and the cultural experience," he said.
Mr. Manon said he enjoyed Shen Yun's presentation overall, "the music and dancing, blended well."
Contralto Jiansheng Yang was memorable. She sang beautifully, he said.
The ethnic dances he "really enjoyed" and the dance Mongolian Hospitality particularly appealed to Mr. Manon.
“I really enjoyed the ethnic dances … when they are very much in touch with nature,” he explained.
Mr. Manon believes that Shen Yun would deepen people's understanding of Chinese culture.
He was totally impressed with what he deemed an unforgettable show, "I was very involved, very immersed in it, it was not something to just forget about," he said.
