NEW YORK—Shen Yun Performing Arts‘ enchanted theater goers during its fourth show of a special “best-of” series at the Lincoln Center’s David H. Koch Theater, June 26.
“This is a gift for this planet,” said journalist Helena Apkhadze. Ms. Apkhadze spent 15 years working in a radio corporation in Georgia, her motherland.
“[Shen Yun] is great, and I’m very, very satisfied,” she said.
Shen Yun’s mission is to revive 5,000 of Chinese culture. Three performance companies travel the globe, presenting an all-new production each year. They feature top classical Chinese dancers, handcrafted costumes, a digital backdrop, and an orchestra combining both Western and Chinese instruments.
Ms. Apkhadze said she has familiarity with traditional Chinese culture. “It is one of the highest,” she said.
