Truman yacht rusting: Italian owners of a yacht that former president Harry Truman used as a “seagoing White House” say it will likely sink in several years from decay.
But Gianfranco Oddone, a retired ship repairman, says he seeks a buyer who will take it back to the United States.
“The style of the ship, I think it’s a fine piece of naval architecture,” said Oddone.
The 240 foot ship, known as the USS Williamsburg, was the scene of many important meetings, including between Truman and Winston Churchill.
