ATLANTA—Miss United States Jessica Black attended a party which benefited the local presenter of Shen Yun Performing Arts in Atlanta, Ga.
Luxury golf magazine, The 19th Hole, threw a party called "Fusion 19" for New Times Cultural and Education Center on the start of Chinese New Year on Feb. 3.
The event was held in the Persian Galleries, a long-established carpet and fine jewelry business in Atlanta and other cities.
The event was a red carpet gala to support "New Times Cultural and Education Center, a non-profit [organization] whose mission is to preserve and revitalize traditional Asian culture, thus helping Asian people to contribute their highest potential in Western culture."
Lion dances, a Shen Yun Performing Arts table, martial arts demonstrations, music and an Asian-themed fashion show enlivened the event.
Guests in evening dress filled the elegant building. A handmade peach and blue Persian rug took the place of a red carpet.
New York-based Shen Yun Performing Arts has three touring companies that perform simultaneously around the world. For more information, visit ShenYunPerformingArts.org
