Mrs. Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, who has said in interviews that she's "not at all an actress," has taken the leap and agreed to Woody Allen's request to be in his next film.
Part supermodel, part singer/songwriter, and part dignitary, Bruni-Sarkozy, First Lady of France, has certainly brought a new twist to the concept of first lady.
She said in a recent interview on Canal Plus television, "I do everything a little bit blindly. If I don't, I won't do anything. I'd like to—you know—when I'm a grandmother, to have done a Woody Allen film."
On Sunday, December 13, at 10 p.m. on ABC, daytime talk show queen Oprah Winfrey will be taking the American public into the White House for the holidays. "Christmas at the White House: An Oprah Primetime Special" will contain a sit down interview with the president, the first lady, staffers, and give viewers a tour through the White House preparations for the holidays.
This broadcast will be the first interview with the president for Winfrey since he took office, despite her overwhelming public support for him during his campaign. Winfrey also was not present at the very first White House state dinner last Tuesday night, but her best friend Gayle King was there.
Winfrey recently announced that she will end her syndicated talk show in 2011 to concentrate on launching a cable network, OWN.
Born on October 9, the fourth child for Supermodel Heidi Klum and Singer Seal, Lou Sulola Samuel, has made her photo debut on the web courtesy of posts made to the couple's official websites. Three pictures were posted showing baby Lou with each of her parents and a third with mom and siblings Henry, 4, Johan, 2, and Leni, 5. The photos are accompanied by Seal’s song “A Fathers Way,” an emotional tribute to his family.
Five weeks after giving birth, Heidi wowed spectators when she took to the runway in a bustier for a recent Victoria's Secret Fashion show.
Known for her singing and songwriting, 12-time-Grammy-award-winner Keys has recently added jeweler to her list of roles. In collaboration with Canadian designer Gisele Theriault, the two will work on a line of jewelry entitled "The Barber's Daughters" that features silver and gemstone pieces inscribed with inspirational quotes and poetry. The name is inspired by Theriault's father, who was the town barber in her native Canada.
Keys, 28, stated in interviews that she first met Gisele while touring in Toronto; through her band mates, who happened to be buying the jewelry backstage. In an interview with WWD, Keys said, “I knew at that moment, for the first time, that through a whole other medium I would be able to spread inspiration, and that’s what got me started.”
The jewelry can be viewed and purchased online at the company's website. The pieces range from necklaces and earrings, to watches, cuffs, and bracelets and are priced from $85 to $2,500.
Keys is set to release her new album, The Element of Freedom, on December 15.
