Feel like a day on the set of the new Hugh Jackman movie this summer, or a special evening of dinner and theatre with Sigourney Weaver and her husband Jim Simpson? Then get your wallets out, and feel good bidding, because all proceeds from an auction of these celebrity experiences and more will be going to four highly respected non-profit environmental organizations.

“A Bid to Save the Earth” is a first of its kind charity auction organized by Christie’s International, partnering with Charitybuzz, the destination for online charity benefit auctions, according to a press release. It will consist of works of art by well-known contemporary artists, exotic travel packages, as well as numerous celebrity experiences.

Green organizations benefiting from the auction are Oceana, which campaigns to protect and restore the world’s oceans, Conservation International, dedicated to empowering societies to be responsible and sustainable in the care of nature and the well-being of humanity, the Natural Resources Defense Council, which consists of scientists, lawyers and environmental specialists dedicated to protecting public health and the environment, and the Central Park Conservancy whose mission is to restore, manage, and preserve Central Park for the enjoyment of present and future generations, according to organization Web sites.
