Actress Carrie Fisher said she will reprise her role in the upcoming new “Star Wars” film.

Fisher, who played Princess Leia in the first three movies, gave a simple “yes” when asked if she would return to play the character in the new film, according to the Palm Beach Illustrated.

When asked what Leia would be like in “Star Wars: Episode VII,” she replied that she would be “elderly.”

“She’s in an intergalactic old folks’ home,” Fisher said, while laughing.

“I just think she would be just like she was before, only slower and less inclined to be up for the big battle,” she added.

She did not elaborate more on the latest film, which is still in its nascent stages.

A representative for LucasFilm told Entertainment Weekly that “we haven’t made any announcements about casting,” responding to Fisher’s return.

“Star Wars: Episode VII” is slated for release in 2015 and will be directed by J.J. Abrams, who directed the last few “Star Trek” movies.

There have also been rumors that Harrison Ford will reprise his role as Han Solo in the new films.
