“The Incredible Burt Wonderstone” makes its box office debut on Friday, March 15. Don Scardino directs the film as Steve Carell, Jim Carrey, James Gandolfini, Olivia Wilde, Steve Buscemi, and Alan Arkin star in the PG-13 rated comedy. David Copperfield, famous American illusionist, consulted for the film and has a guest role in the film.

Superstar magicians Burt Wonderstone and Anton Marvelton dominated the Las Vegas strip for years with their magical illusions. The two earn millions of dollars with their performances as they feign a public friendship, and Burt’s ego grows. In private, the two loathe each other.

Soon, the duo gets some outside competition from Steve Gray, a street magician, whose outrageous stunts make their performances look stale.

Burt and Anton try to save their act, both onstage and off, as Burt tries to discover once again why he loves magic.

The film features guest appearances from David Copperfield, 56, famous American illusionist who once performed the feat of walking through the Great Wall of China.

Lately, Copperfield performs at least 15 “An Intimate Evening of Grand Illusion” shows a week at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, or he might be on Copperfield Island—where sandy beaches await any visitor, or he might be playing with his toddler, or working on additional films.

Copperfield consulted on “The Incredible Burt Wonderstone” and “Now You See Me,” which will make its debut on May 31.

“I know that if he wasn’t the greatest magician alive, he would be a revolutionary filmmaker, Louis Leterrier, director of “Now You See Me,” said, USA Today reported.

Copperfield revealed that he is taking bigger steps into films and will produce at least three feature films, according to USA Today.

“The inspiration for my magic has always been from movies. Magic is hard. And it’s basically moviemaking onstage. That’s opened the door for me. Might as well turn on the camera,” Copperfield said, according to USA Today.
