Amy Poehler will be the host for Saturday Night Live’s premier as it enters its 36th season, according to media reports on Thursday.
The premier, which is slated to run on Sept. 25, will feature singer Katy Perry as its musical guest, Fox News reported.
Poehler left SNL in 2008 after spending seven years on the late-night sketch comedy show but has come back multiple times.
The 38-year-old mother of two was twice nominated for an Emmy Award for her work on the show. She currently stars in "Parks and Recreation."
Poehler had her second child with husband Will Arnett last month.
Several SNL actors have left the show in recent weeks including Will Forte and Jenny Slate, who made her announcement after one season on the show.Four new cast members have been tapped to debut on the show. Vanessa Bayer and Paul Brittain are comedians from the iO Chicago club. Jay Pharoah performs comedy routines at theaters in Virginia, and Taran Killam formerly starred on MADtv.
