Justin Bieber Sings “Pray” at AMA 2010 Awards

The 2010 American Music Awards took place at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles last night, Sunday Nov. 21, with stars like Justin Bieber, Rihanna, and Taylor Swift all winning awards.

Bieber, the 16-year-old Canadian pop sensation, was the highlight of the Awards ceremony, picking up the Artist of the Year award and three other trophies. He proved more popular than veterans such as Eminem, Katy Perry, and Lady Gaga.

Online fans chose Bieber for Favorite Rock or Pop Male Artist award, over both Eminem and Usher. Bieber called Usher, who helped launch his career, "not only my mentor but my best friend and my big brother," according to CNN.

"This is big,” said Bieber, who also picked up the Favorite Album and Breakthrough Artist awards.

Meanwhile Taylor Swift took home the Favorite Female Country Artist award for the third year running.

Other award winners included Usher, Black Eyed Peas, Michael Bublé, Muse, and Lady Antebellum.
