While the animation is remarkably fluid and there are many laughs to be had, the film also delves into deeper themes such as abandonment, adoption, family dynamics, and forgiveness. It’s a heartwarming movie suitable for the whole family.

The child actors are all endearing in this kids’ movie—sometimes at the expense of how immature their adult rivals are portrayed. Ingenuity, problem-solving, and the value of camaraderie are standout messages in this entertaining film.

Ms. Louis-Dreyfus and Gandolfini’s delightful chemistry is highlighted through Gandolfini’s endearing self-effacing humor, and their spunky dialogue forms the core of the film’s charm and keeps you engaged.
